About the event

This class introduces participants to the basics of clay usage, hand-forming, and surface decoration, with a background in kiln firing included. It is designed for beginners to intermediate-level makers, focusing on slab and coil methods, 3D forms using molds, and innovative structures with paper templates. Weekly projects build on each other, with time allocated for completing previous work and later focusing on drying, mending, firing, and glazing. Participants' experience levels vary, and the class values each person's learning journey, emphasizing shared experiences and discoveries.

  • Learn the pottery basics from expert instructors.
  • Explore various pottery techniques to craft unique and personalized ceramic pieces.
  • Understand the firing and glazing process to give your pottery a beautiful finish.
  • This class is open to registrants 16+
  • Skill level: Beginner - Intermediate

Your registrations secures you a spot in this 6 class course over a 7 week period. Late registrants will not be accepted.

Basic tools and supplies will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring the following supplies:

  • Clothes that can get dirty
  • An apron
  • Please ensure lose clothing and hair can be secured
  • A water bottle - stay hydrated! 

Upon completion, pieces will receive their final firing and be available for pickup within 2-3 weeks.
