About the event
Join the Oldman River Potters Guild for a unique, hands-on evening workshop where clay meets creativity. In this one-night experience, participants will create a handbuilt pottery mug designed to look like textured leather.
Guided step-by-step by Naomi Wendorff, you’ll learn essential handbuilding and slab construction techniques to form your mug. You’ll also explore decorative surface methods using underglaze to create a rich, antiqued finish that mimics the look and character of leather.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking to expand their ceramic skills; no prior experience is necessary. All materials, tools, and instruction are provided.
Once your piece is complete, the instructor will professionally glaze and kiln-fire your mug, bringing your design to life. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup at the end of May.
Come ready to get your hands dirty, learn new techniques, and leave with a truly one-of-a-kind functional piece of art.
